Think twice before purchasing a water cooling desktop system.

For all those gamers out there, stay away from the cool looking water cooling system.  Yes, it might look cool since you can have it in ultramarine blue coloring, but the negative outweighs the benefits.  The big negative is that your desktop might have a leaky faucet.  If you have to change a video card or another part in the future, that nice looking water coolant system is typically wrapped around your system, making it very easy to pop a leak.

A leaky water cooling system can cause your PC to crash by shorting the motherboard.  We have recently seen a client bring their gaming sytem to us because it wouldn’t start.  It wouldn’t start because he caused a leak after installing a secondary video card.  This is just one example of how tempermental a water cooling system may be.  It is supposed to keep the computer cool due to its powered cooling ventilation.  However, its tubing is not secure enough to remain encapsulated if maneuvering around inside the tower.  Stay far way and just get a good power supply and CPU fan.  It will save you lots of tech support time in the future.
