Redecorating your home is not an easy task.  Heck, I can’t even decide where to place my couch in my living room.  Luckily, if you have an iPhone or iPad support, your life will be easier with a free or nominally-priced app.

Let’s get to the top apps that can help you visualize and prepare your home improvement project:

  1. Houzz – this free Apple support app allows you to peruse tons of high-res sample rooms based on your style of house or apartment.
  2. Dwell – another free app that one-ups Houzz by displaying full-panned videos and text along with photos.
  3. Home Design 3D – Not sure where to start?  Pay about $5 to drag furniture and fixtures to see how your room looks.
  4. Home Depot – This free app provides some good how-to videos if your handy enough to remodel on your own.
  5. Lowe’s – Another free iPhone service app with how-to videos.

These apps are great tools to help you see your rooms in different styles, themes, and furniture offerings.  Mix and match with colors, add a desk, sofa, chair, lamp, etc.  The iPhone support for the apps are simple.  They all guide you through the process so it’s pretty self-intuitive.
