Blue screens of death are the worst to come by in the PC world. It is pretty archaic – you will be working on a spreadsheet or surfing the Internet, and BAM!, you get a blue screen with cryptic white lettering on it. A windows blue screen means you have a Windows stop error that Windows cannot resolve on its own and will, thus, prevent starting up your computer due to viruses, bad driver, corrupted Windows, or bad file. What do you do?
Here are a few computer solutions to resolve a blue screen of death:
- Restart your computer with no extra peripherals, such as external hard drive, connected. There might be a
failing external device that’s not working.
- Read the error message and Google it to see what the resolution may be.
- Boot up into safe mode by tapping F8 when booting up. Then, perform a scan for viruses.
- Perform a system repair by booting up to your Windows operating system CD.
If you need further assistance with your blue screen issue, you may contact a computer repair specialist.
