How to set up Yahoo email on iPad – nyc email support

You have Yahoo email and and iPad.  Setting up your email is a piece of cake and just takes five simple steps.

Here’s how to set up Yahoo email on your iPad:

1. Go to Settings
2. Click Mail option
3. Add Account
4. Select Y! Mail
5. Input your name, email account, and password.

If you want to set up a sound alert so you know when new mail arrives, just turn New Mail sounds On.

If you have Yahoo! Mail Plus, you may be required to enter different configurations. If the above doesn’t work, you can set your account with the following configurations:

1. Incoming mail server (POP3) – plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com & SSL enabled to port 995
2. Outgoing mail server (SMTP) – plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com & SSL enabled to port 465 (use authentication)

The email setup is straight-forward and you really don’t have to be an email expert or ipad expert to take care of this.
