Want to get your hands on the new Windows 8 operating system? You can with the pre-beta version. Pre-beta is definitely a redundant term and means just that this version is the first version which is even before the beta version for public use. The pre-beta version is available as a free download via the Windows Developer section of the Windows support site.
You may download the Windows 8 32-bit or Windows 8 64-bit depending on your computer architecture. You’ll need to download the operating system first to your computer, and then burn it to a DVD. You will now be able to use this DVD as a startup Windows 8 DVD. Keep in mind that this is a pre-released Windows version, meaning it will expire soon after Windows 8 comes to market. However, you should probably be able to get a good year out of this version at least since Windows 8 is not coming out anytime soon.
As a pre-beta version, it will not have all the bells and whistles as the finished Windows 8. But, you’ll get a good feel for the interface and functionality. More info and a full review will come out shortly from our end as we just started our evaluation of this Windows 8 support version this week.
