If your email has been hacked, perform these steps:
- Change your email and computer passwords.
- Ensure your wireless computer network, if you have one, is password-protected.
- Call or email your email provider about your email security breach. Hopefully, they have a policy to flush out any internal vulnerabilities.
- Run a computer virus scan. The perpetrator may be spyware-induced.
