Getting your new iPad is exciting. But, setting up your iPad could be daunting…unless you have the right iPad set up steps. I’ve jotted down a few steps to make your iPad setup experience a breeze.
Just follow the below steps to set up your new iPad:
- Update your computer to the latest iTunes.
- Connect your iPad to the computer with the cable that came with it.
- Your iPad will then automatically sync with iTunes.
- When prompted, enter your personal information to register the iPad.
- Decide which programs (i.e. music and movies) you want to sync with your iPad and computer.
- Then, you can sync.
- After syncing, you can remove the cable.
- You can next go to Settings->Mail and enter your email username and password to send/receive email.
That’s basically it. You can have fun after by downloading apps, but that’s pretty self-intuitive. The only time I ever connected my iPad to my computer was for the initial registration. After that, I never connected my iPad since I just use it for watching videos, playing games, and checking email. The setup is easy and doesn’t require an iPad technician. If you have a computer and an iPad, you can do it!
