Let’s just be upfront about this. The Nokia Lumia 900 is no iPhone. It does all the tricks that a Windows support smartphone can do. But, it’s just no polished enough to be in the same breath of the Apple support world.
For 100 bucks, you get a tiled Windows phone. Similar to Windows 8, it gives you easy access to contacts, emails, calendar, and social networking. But, the apps are limited to say the least and the functionality works but is not as smooth and intuitive as the iPhone 4S.
The Lumia 900 should take a decent bite out of Blackberry personal account sales. But, I don’t see it as a good phone for business accounts or competing against Blackberry Enterprise servers. That being said, there are a lot of Blackberry personal users that wouldn’t mind jumping ship to another phone besides the iPhone. Unfortunately, most Blackberry fanatics are such because their phones have real touch keyboards and the Lumia only has virtual on-glass ones like iPhones. So, the one thing going for the Lumia is it’s on a Microsoft support platform and will sway die-hard Microsoft fans. Other than that, get an iPhone!
