It’s easy to set up Gmail, Yahoo, or another personal email account on your iPhone. But, how do you set up a company email account, such as Microsoft Exchange? If your company has a Microsoft Exchange server or uses a website that provides outsourced Exchange email hosting, then the set up is completely different. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a Microsoft Exchange expert to set it up. You just need to know where to go on your iPhone and I’m here to help.
Here are the steps to set up your Microsoft Exchange account on your iPhone:
- On your iPhone, go to: Settings-> Mail, Contacts, Calendars-> Add Account-> Microsoft Exchange
- Enter your Email, Username, and Password. Type in your full email address for Email and Username. Leave Domain blank and tap Next.
- Tap Save to sync your Mail, Contacts, and Calendar.
You may be prompted after the process to create a passcode. If so, set up one or else you won’t be able to view your email.
That’s it! Pretty simple and actually just as simple as setting up a Gmail account on your iPhone. If the above 3 steps don’t work, then you most likely the iPhone wasn’t able to find your server name, and it’s best to track down your Exchange server administrator for the correct info.
