I have found a way to increase the volume of your Mac speakers, higher than the default volume. Boom is an app that accomplishes this. 
Here’s how to increase your Mac volume, higher than the regular factory level:
- Install Boom which costs $7, but worth it. There is a free trial to start to see if you like it.
- Click on the downloaded menu bar icon.
- Go to the Boom control panel to boost your Mac Volume or just specific files.
What’s impressive is that you do not lose any clarity with boosting the volume. Your Mac actually gets noticeably louder than it ever sounded before, and without any added equipment.
