I’d like to back up my Mac to iCloud.  How do I sync iCloud on my Mac, iPhone, and iPad?  How do I do that?

These are common Mac requests our Apple techs get all the time.

Here’s how to set up iCloud with Mountain Lion and your iPhone / iPad devices:

1. On your Mac, go to System Preferences and log in with your Apple ID.
2. Enable all of the services, i.e. Find My Mac, Photo Stream.
3. On your iPhone and iPad, go to Settings->iCloud and make sure your account and services are the same as on your Mac.

That’s it.  Apple experts need not apply here.  Just 3 easy steps and your stuff is all synced up and backed up online.
