How to hide Office 2013 ribbon – Hide Office 2013 ribbon – Easiest way to hide Office 2013 ribbon

The ribbon is not for everyone.  I’m not talking about the finish line ribbon or birthday part balloon ribbon.  I’m talking Hide Office 2013 ribbonabout the Office 2013 ribbon.  It’s there to help you navigate to your different options, spell check, font, and other toolbar options.  But, sometimes, just sometimes, it gets in the way of the real estate of your word document or spreadsheet.

Here’s the quickest way to hide the Office 2013 ribbon:

  1. Click on Ribbon display button which is in between the “?” Help icon and the “-” Minimize button.
  2. Choose to Auto-hide.  You can have it reappear by clicking top of screen.

That’s it.  Just two steps and you don’t have to be an Office 2013 expert or NYC Microsoft expert to do it.  If you want to get fancy, you can hit Ctrl+F1 to bring up the full Ribbon and Tab-only view.  Tab view shows the main headers, such as File, Home and Insert.
