The iPhone isn’t the only phone that has a sophisticated lost phone finder app. If you’re a Blackberry support user, you can also
set up a “Lost your phone” app. This one is called Blackberry Protect.
Here’s how to set up Blackberry Protect:
- Make sure you have the Blackberry 10 phone
- Go to Settings->tap Blackberry Protect
- Slide the switch to the right to enable it.
If you lose your Blackberry or get it stolen, you can track it down by going to the Blackberry Protect site. From there you can see where your phone is and make an annoying sound to alert the perpetrator. You can even text the perp, “I’m gonna get you,” or something else to taunt him. Finally, you can protect your info by remotely locking it with a new password or wiping the device.
You really don’t have to be a Blackberry expert or Blackberry technician to set this one up. It’s definitely something you should enable if you have the Blackberry 10 as it will save you tons of trouble and time if your phone is lost or stolen.
