I have seen this too often. Mac users will be in their normal Safari page and then they want to open an email. Up opens AOL or another browser page for email. Then, they won’t realize where the previous Safari page is and will open another Safari page. After awhile, tons of open windows are laid across the screen, making things slow and difficult to find.
You don’t have to keep opening new windows. You can just switch back and forth between your Mac applications. The way to do so is by pulling up the Task Switch with the Command-Tab key combinations. Then, while holding the Command key, hit Tab the amount of times needed to go to the icon you want to pull up. That’s it. That will have you smartly navigating between your Mac apps. No duplicate pages needed and no Mac experts are needed to follow this easy Mac support tip.
