If you just upgraded to iOS 7 and your iPhone is slow, don’t worry, there are things you can do to improve the performance. This is typical of older iPhones that upgraded to the iOS 7. Older iPhones, such as the iPhone 4 and the 4S, are capable to use the iOS 7, but some iPhone maintenance may need to be done to speed it up.
Here’s what you need to do to speed up your iOS 7 iPhone:
- Clear some space – If you’re not using the app, get rid of it. It eats up space. Go to Settings->General->Usage and see if your up to your capacity.
- Get rid of background processes – The new iOS updates all Apps in the background instead of having you update them one by one like the old iOS 6 did. This is a performance hog. Go to Settings->App Store and go to Automatic Downloads sections and turn the Apps and Updates to off. You can turn off all automatic downloads as well.
- Stop the parallax, transparency, and blur effects – All the funky graphics in iOS 7 may slow down the works. You can remove the fancy effects by going to Settings->General->Accessibility and Reduce Motion.
These three steps will help give you speed back in iOS 7 and you don’t have to be an iPhone expert to perform these easy IT maintenance tasks.
