The biggest product to come out of the October 22nd Apple event is the iPad Air. It is lighter, thinner and still the same full-sized tablet iPad support. It is actually 20% thinner than the iPad 4 and weighs just one pound which is 28% lighter. It starts at $499 and will be available on November 1st.
The iPad Air has the A7 chip with a the 64-bit architecture built in, making wireless and LTE connectivity faster. It has retina display which comes out to a 2048 x 1536 resolution image. Movies play at 1080p hi-def resolution. Overall, the iPad Air has twice the processing and video speed as the previous generation making it pretty darn peppy.
