Computer repair technician is a very general term. In fact, it’s pretty much a generalist kind of role much like a general medicine or primary doctor is.
When searching for the definition, I was fairly shocked at the picture Wikipedia decided to use to best represent computer repair technicians. Looks like a sweat shop to me!
Wikipedia groups server techs into a computer repair tech category as well. That’s not always the case as server engineers carry with them a lot more years and expertise in the networking and server areas.
It looks like I’ll need to update Wikipedia in my spare time!
