With the new iOS update on your iPhone, your passcode is now longer than the 4 digits you had before. What a pain! Don’t fret. You can change it back to 4 digits in a flash.
With more security, the drawback is delays. On the flip side, such delays forces those to find ways to circumvent the system. In other words, I’m going to show you how to change your passcode back to 4 digits.
Here’s the easiest way to change your iPhone passcode back to 4 digits:
- Go to Settings.
- Touch ID & Passcode.
- Enter your passcode.
- Change Passcode.
- Enter your old passcode.
- Don’t type in your new passcode. Instead click on Passcode Options.
- Select 4-Digit Numeric Code.
- Type in the 4-digit numeric code of your choice.
- Verify it again.
- That’s it. Your 4-digit number code has been set.
You have just avoiding having to enter more than 4 digits for your passcode. Less time wasted and you’re off and running. Take that Apple support folks! Yeah, on the flip side, maybe you’re a little bit more vulnerable with a less numbers for your passcode. But, you know what, at least you’re back in control of your iPhone. It is a good rule of thumb to change your 4-digit passcode every half a year. You have to keep the hackers on their toes.
