iPhone 7 / iOS 10 emails are terrible – I can’t find my latest emails – How can I remove the iOS 10 email issue – How can I fix the iOS 10 email thread issue?

You got the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus!  Congrats!  Most likely, you are raving about the camera and the new vibrating home button.  After the honeymoon is over, your are most likely also talking about the new email system.  Well, this is not a rave, more like a rant.  Where are my emails?  I can’t find my newest emails.  Yes, this is a complaint we have heard about.  And it it one that is making iPhone users and customer run for the iOS 9 fences.

First of all, the new iOS 10 has a new email format.  It’s not the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus that is screwing things up.  It is the iOS 10.  This new  iOS 10 could be loaded on the iPhone 7, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6, or another iPhone so don’t blame the phone, blame the operating system on the iPhone.

So, here’s the email deal.  The iOS 10 has a new, threaded email system so that you can see the slew of correspondence within one opened email.  The good:  It’s like Gmail.  The bad:  It doesn’t always show the latest email at the top.  Many times, when the thread is several-emails deep, it will show the latest email in the middle of the thread.  The result: You will lose emails!

How can you remove the iOS 10 email issue?

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Mail
3. Turn off Organize by Thread

If you like the iOS 10 email issue, but want to be able to find your latest emails at the top of the thread, here’s how you can fix this:

1.  Go to Settings
2.  Go to Mail
3.  Enable Organize by Thread
4.  Enable Recent Message on Top

Now, if you can’t handle the long thread all the time with your emails, you can shorten it down by following these steps:

1.  Go to Settings
2.  Go to Mail
3.  Disable Complete Threads
