Looking for a free PDF reader? Don’t want to pay a monthly charge or lump sum fee for it?

You have options. There are a bunch of freebies out there, but I really only recommend two out from my tech support tool chest if customers ask for a free way to edit PDFs.
FoxIt – A solid third-party software that gets the job done.
If you don’t mind getting out of the Adobe ecosystem, FoxIt works well. It’s scaled down and edits PDFs pretty well.
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC – If you’ve grown comfortable with Adobe, this is what you need.
It looks just like Adobe Acrobat, but advanced options are grayed out. You can export your edits to a PDF or Word Doc.
If you’re not happy with the free apps, then, you should try a trial with Adobe Acrobat. If you don’t like it, just cancel.
