Best iPhone work-out music headphones – Best iPhone 5 stereo bluetooth headphones

I’m a big music lover, and I like hitting the gym.  Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to comfortably blend the two.  Either the headphones had too much slack or vice versa, and having wires to deal with at all were always annoying.  The arm band was always bulky and felt like I was lifting a weight just by having this dumb bell on my arm.  But, the armband is for another topic on another day.

So, after buying the new iPhone 5, I thought I’d try again to find the perfect harmony between music and exercising.  As Top iPhone bluetooth headphonesfor bluetooth stereo (not just regular audio phone buds) headsets, I was pleasantly surprised to find some nice new models.  Price is always a factor, but other important decision-making factors are:  ensuring the ear buds keep a constant connection; ear suction is comfortably snug; jogging won’t pull out the ear buds; and of course, the sound is solid.

Here are the top stereo bluetooth headphones:

  1. Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800– My favorite headphones by far.  They’re small, practically weightless, and only have a small cable connecting the two earbuds.  The one negative is that you cannot skip tracks from it directly.  You can accept and end calls as well as play and pause songs.  The big tech issue on this one is that it has been discontinued!  Hey, who wants to pay Tech setup for bluetooth headphones nyc$200 for headphones anyway!  So, you’ll only be lucky to land this one off of third party sites, such as eBay.
  2. Plantronics BackBeat Go – A more reasonable $75 – $100 price tag, these lightweight earbuds are comfortable, have normal song track buttons.  Tech setup is easy with quick pairing.  One negative is cable thump.  If you’re an avid runner, you’ll get some backlash sound during your strides.  For the gym rat though, it works flawlessly.
  3. Jabra Sport Bluetooth Stereo Headset – Moving around a lot?  Fast runner?  This one’s for you.  It has a bands that go around your ears so this headset is not going anywhere.  Also, it comes with a free training work-out app.  It lists at $100, but you can find it discounted to $60 – $70.

Overall, each of these bluetooth stereo headphones is a quick 30-second setup.  Just pair the device with your iPhone and you’ll need to charge it in between 2-3 exercise days.  Expect a charge of up to 4 hours.
