How to take screenshot in Windows 8 – Windows 8 screenshot – Easiest way to take Windows 8 screenshot

NYC Windows 8 screenshot how toTaking a screenshot in Windows 8 shouldn’t be different than with Windows 7 supported computers and previous operating systems, right?

Right, it’s very straight forward to capture the image of your desktop, screen, computer error message, or anything else you’d like to share.  This comes in handy for our customers who email us their PC start-up error message or other computer issue codes that they are unable to decipher.

Here’s the easiest way to take a Windows 8 screenshot:

  1. Go to the desktop or screen you want to take a picture of.
  2. Press PrtScr key to capture the full screen or Alt + PrtScr at the same time to capture the active window.
  3. Go to your email if you want to share the screenshot.  Or if you want to save the image, you can go to All Programs->Accessories->Paint or another image program.
  4. Right-click and select copy in your email or image program.

That’s it and Windows 8 experts need to apply here.  This is really a handy IT tech tool if you are not aware of it.
