Is Office 2008 / 2011 compatible with Mavericks – Can I use my Office 2004 / 2008 / 2011 with Mavericks – Can I move Office 2004 / 2008 / 2011 to Mavericks

Is-microsoft-office-2004-2008-2011-compatible-with-MavericksYou have an older Microsoft Office, such as the 2011 version.  Can you use it with the Apple supported operating system, Mavericks?  In one word, yes.  Guess what, you can also use the Office 2008 version on Mavericks.  And you can actually use Office 2004  with Mavericks as well.  Mavericks can support pretty much all older Microsoft Office versions.

What is the best way to transfer your Microsoft Office 2008, 2011, or 2004 version?  There are two scenarios this may apply to.  The first is when you buy a new Mac.  When you want to move your current Microsoft Office software over, the easiest way is to copy the program folder to an external hard drive, and then copy the contents from your external hard drive to your new Mac.  This is the best way to set up a new Mac.  Keep in mind you’ll most likely be required to re-enter the Microsoft Office license key on your new Mac.

If you are upgrading your Mac to Mavericks, then the process is a bit simpler.  Just go ahead with the Mavericks upgrade on your Mac Do nothing with your Microsoft office software or any other software for that matter.  After you’re done with the Mac OS 10 Mavericks upgrade, your Microsoft Office software will work fine.
